The regional Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) evaluates progress against the RSS. It includes the following indicators for Policy ENV5B.

Lead indicator Sub indicator
Installed renewable energy capacity (HT15/E3/TH35A) Installed grid-connected renewable energy capacity (MW) (TH35A/E3)
Renewable energy capacity in extant planning permissions (MW) (TH35B)
Installed non-grid connected renewable energy capacity (MW) (TH35C)
Installed “good quality” CHP capacity (MWe) (TH35D)
Installed non grid connected “good quality” CHP capacity (MWe) (TH35E)
Targets for local renewable energy in new development in DPDs (TH35F)

Several indicators also measure progress towards Policy ENV5A, demonstrating how far regional energy efficiency has been improved. www.lgyh.gov.uk/The%20Library/Regional %20Planning%20Library/Monitoring%20Reports/

The regional AMR is collated from data in the local authorities’ Local Development Framework AMRs, together with local authority audit data and national statistics. Further guidance on regional monitoring is available here www.hcaacademy.co.uk/node/393

The annual Progress in the Region report covers a broader set of indicators than the AMR. It assists in monitoring progress with the Integrated Regional Framework, including the Economic Strategy.

Headline indicator High level indicator

Per capita carbon dioxide emissions (H3)

Ecological footprint (gha/cap) (HL15)

Renewably generated electricity as a % of electricity consumed (HL16)

The figures in Progress in the Region are reported for the region as a whole.
